Yacht Charter Lead Generation

A yacht charter lead is worth exactly what it books. A fleet that gets a hundred inquiries in a season and books a handful of them does not have a lead problem. It has a phone problem. This page covers both halves: how we generate qualified charter leads with Facebook and Instagram advertising, and how a fleet turns them into bookings.

Grow Your Charter is an advertising agency for boat charter companies. Every lead is exclusive to you. You pay per qualified lead. Ad spend goes to Meta from your own account.

What a qualified lead is

Not a "contact". A person who saw real footage of your boat, wanted it, and told you when they want to sail, who is coming and what they want to spend, before anyone from your team picks up the phone.

That last part matters at fleet size. When the booking manager opens the message she already knows if this is a sunset trip for two or a week for eight, and which boat to quote. She calls with the right boat and the right price. No twenty-minute WhatsApp exchange to find out the person wanted a boat you don't have.

People who don't fit your boats, wrong budget, wrong group size, are filtered before they reach you. You get fewer inquiries than an unfiltered form would send. You get the ones your team can close.

Where the leads come from

Video ads on Instagram and Facebook. Short vertical clips from your own charters, shown to people planning a trip to your area in the months they book. One campaign per boat class so the family sees the family boat and the group of ten sees the catamaran.

A form inside the app. The person asks for a date without leaving Instagram. No website to load on hotel wifi. No "we'll get back to you" page.

Delivery to your team's phone. The lead lands on WhatsApp within moments of being sent, on the number that is on duty that evening.

Exclusive. One lead goes to one charter. We do not run lead marketplaces and we do not sell the same person to five fleets. Every lead comes from an ad we ran for your company, with your footage, in your ad account.

Why leads die on the charter's side

We have watched a lot of inquiries land on operators' phones. They die for the same five reasons every time.

1. Slow reply. The person filled in three forms. The first fleet to answer gets the booking. An inquiry sent at 22:40 and answered at 08:30 has usually already booked elsewhere.

2. Nobody owns the phone. The owner sees it late. The booking manager finished at 19:00. The skipper is at dinner. Everyone assumed someone else replied.

3. No follow-up. One message, no answer, forgotten. Most late bookings come after the second follow-up. Most teams send zero.

4. Wrong avatar. The ads pulled couples for a boat built for twelve. Every lead was a couple. Nobody was wrong. The ad decided who filled in the form.

5. Shared leads. The same person was sold to five charters and is comparing all of them by price.

Our lead generation fixes 4 and 5 on our side. 1, 2 and 3 are fixed on yours, and we hand you the system to do it.

The reply system for a fleet

This is the part that decides whether the advertising pays. It costs nothing.

One number. Every inquiry, from every source, arrives on one number. Not four.

A written rule. First reply within 15 minutes, 09:00 to 23:00, seven days a week in season. On the crew schedule next to the boat assignments.

An evening rotation. Two people. The booking manager and a skipper who is not sailing tomorrow. Whoever is on, is on.

Quick replies. WhatsApp Business templates so the first message takes ten seconds. "Hi Anna, thanks for the inquiry. Saturday is free. Sending you two options in five minutes."

Three follow-ups. Minute 3, day 1, day 3. Saved as templates. Sent by whoever is on the phone. The third one releases the date: "Still holding Saturday for you until tonight. After that I release it."

One sheet. Inquiries, first reply time, follow-ups sent, booked. Read every Monday. When reply time creeps over 15 minutes, fix the rotation. When follow-ups drop under two per inquiry, fix the templates.

What to measure

Not cost per lead. Cost per booking.

A 10 euro lead that books one in four costs 40 euros of ad spend per booking. A 2 euro lead that books one in a hundred costs 200. The cheapest leads in the market are usually the wrong people. Judge a campaign on what it books, and judge your team on how fast they reply.

Yacht charter lead generation FAQ

How many leads can a fleet expect? It depends on your area, your boat classes and your ad spend. Contact us with those three and we'll give you a real range instead of a guess.

Are the leads exclusive? Yes. One lead, one charter.

Do you buy leads from marketplaces? No. Every lead comes from an ad we ran for your fleet with your footage in your account.

How do I receive them? On WhatsApp, to the number on duty. Email or a Google Sheet as well if you want a record.

Do you handle the calls? Your team does. We give you the reply system above. Who answers, and how fast, is most of the result.

What is a good close rate? Fleets that reply within minutes and follow up three times close a large share of qualified leads. Fleets that reply the next day close very few of the same leads. The difference is never the ad.
